Norwalk Yard Waste Site To Open For The Season

NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk's yard waste site at 15 S. Smith St., will open for the spring/summer/fall seasons Monday, April 4.

Before that date, the site will be open only from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays; the scale is closed from noon to 12:30 p.m.. 

During the season, the hours of operation will be 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays;  the scale will be closed from noon to 12:30 p.m. weekdays.

Yard waste may be brought loose or bagged in brown leaf bags. All containers – except brown paper leaf bags – must be emptied and removed. All passenger vehicles must display a Norwalk resident/beach pass as they enter the site. 

The 2015 Norwalk passes expire March 31. Residents will be given a 30-day grace period. Residents will be required to have a new pass by May 1. For more information, please call customer service at 203-854-3200 or visit www.norwalkct.org.
