NORWALK, Conn. -- Visitors and regular parkers can add American Express to the ways to pay for parking at one of the Norwalk Parking Authority’s spots.
All Norwalk Parking Authority lots, garages and on-street meters, as well as permits and parking tickets now accept Amex cards. Other credit cards accepted are MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
Parking Authority Chairman Julius Hayward says it is all about giving customers options.
“Consumers like using credit cards for the speed, flexibility and convenience," Hayward said. "The Parking Authority wants our customers to enjoy the option of choosing from a variety of payment options, one popular one being American Express.”
The Norwalk Parking Authority is a financially self-sustaining organization responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipal parking system in Norwalk. It is not financed by taxpayer dollars.
The authority is committed to making Norwalk a better place to live, work and visit by collaborating with community organizations while providing exceptional customer service to parking customers.
