Bridgeport resident Rocky Samas, also known as “Twin,” was found guilty following a two-day trial of one count of possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base, and one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Durham said that between August and October last year, police investigators conducted three controlled purchases of crack cocaine from Samas in Bridgeport prior to his arrest.

According to Durham, Samas’ criminal history includes multiple drug convictions, including a federal conviction in 2005 for possession with intent to distribute and distribution of crack and powder cocaine. On Sept. 21, 2005, he was sentenced to 240 months in prison. He was later re-sentenced to 96 months of imprisonment. Samas was released from federal prison in 2011.
