City residents and city workers alike are starting to feel inundated as the third snowstorm in 16 days is expected Tuesday night, but meetings are planned to go on as scheduled at City Hall.
The Board of Education meeting planned for 7:45 p.m. in Concert Hall and the Common Council meeting planned for 8 p.m. are still a go. Mayor Richard Moccia said he and other officials use three weather services when determining how to handle impending storms. Although 6 to 14 inches of snow is forecast, it looks like the heavy snow won't begin to fall until later in the evening. Moccia expects everyone to be able to get out of the meetings and home before there is a major problem. "We'll have enough time to move everyone out, unless it comes in earlier," he said.
If the forecast changes, the meetings may be canceled. The mayor said he will use Notify Norwalk to help spread the information.
Moccia urges residents to get their cars off the roads even if he doesn't declare a snow emergency.
