Roger Bart, who was born in Norwalk, turns 51 on Sunday, Bart, born September 29, 1962, is an American actor and singer.
He made his Broadway debut in Big River as Tom Sawyer in 1987. He received the Drama Desk Award and a Tony Award as a role of Snoopy in the Broadway revival of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brow in 1999. He also originated the lead role of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein in the musical adaptation of Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein.
He became widely known to viewers with his portrayal of George Williams, the murderous pharmacist in love with Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross), on Desperate Housewives, which earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
He also appeared in various films like Hercules, Spy School and American Gangster.
