Tablao Wine Bar & Restaurant, located at 86 Washington Street in Norwalk, has become a big hit thanks to its flavorful specials and array of wines and specialty cocktails.
The Spanish/Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, which doubles as both a music venue and event space, is run by seasoned South American restaurateurs Juan ‘Vinny’ Gonzalez, Galo Aleman and Jose-Luis Contreras.
The bar and eatery serves up a huge array of authentic tapas, fresh salads, seafood, paella and more. With more than 200 ratings and a solid 4.5/5 stars on Yelp, it’s clear to see that TWB&R’s reputation is growing alongside its local following.
“Great paella. Service and food were excellent. Very reasonable prices and nice atmosphere,” wrote Brett P. In a Jan. 28 Yelp review.
The bar’s atmosphere is intended to make guests feel as though they’ve actually traveled abroad. Exposed brick walls frame the establishment and complement the dark oak furnishings and Spanish “tabla” (wood centric accents). Enjoy your meal underneath the simplistic yet elegant Edison light bulbs, which add warmth to the traditional space.
Tablao Wine Bar & Restaurant opens its doors at 11:30 a.m. each day and closes at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit the website.
