A Fairfield County resident has claimed a $250,000 Connecticut Lottery prize.

Bridgeport resident Chhumnith Houry won the "$250,000 Cashword 9" prize from a ticket purchased at Wood's Mart in Bridgeport, CT Lottery announced on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

The lottery said the store is located at 427 Wood Ave.

Other noteworthy winners CT Lottery announced on Tuesday include:

Hartford County resident Lucecita Marte, of Bristol, who claimed a $78,644 prize from a "PLAY4 DAY" ticket purchased at BZ Food Mart in Bristol
Tolland County resident Cesar Marquez, of Vernon, who claimed a $100,000 prize from a "$100,000 Cashword 11" ticket purchased at Ammi Inc in Vernon
An unnamed Bridgeport resident who claimed an $86,872 prize from a "PLAY4 DAY" ticket purchased at Stratford News Smoke & Vape in Stratford
