Betsey Johnson Does Nails

It’s time to chuck the pale pink nails, ladies. Bold color is the biggest trend for spring 2012. And thanks to designer Betsey Johnson and the polish gurus at OPI, bold color won’t stop at your wardrobe.

Johnson and OPI have just announced a partnership that will put Johnson’s funky, colorful style at your fingertips, literally.

In recent shows, Johnson and other couture designers have incorporated bright polishes and even eye-catching nail art as part of the overall look. The nail art trend is so big, CNN recently ran a piece in which it was dubbed “the new lipstick.”

And Johnson’s new line for OPI will make this vibrant runway trend available to everyone.

The line, just released in Sephora stores, features seven new colors in full-sized bottles. It also includes the first scented nail polish, a bright pink polish combined with Johnson’s “Too Too” fragrance. There will also be a mini collection that is said to include six colors, nail designs—like cherries, bows and lightening bolt decals—and a nail art tutorial for the DIY crowd.
