Recognized as one of the signature women’s business summits in Connecticut, WBDC’s Annual Business Breakfast will take place at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 23 at the Stamford Hilton, 1 First Stamford Place, Stamford.
More than 650 entrepreneurs, industry and community leaders, as well as legislators from throughout Connecticut are expected to attend the event to hear experts discuss the topic of “How Supplier Diversity Drives Your Bottom Line” -- as well as honoring Hummel.
“WBDC is honoring Ms. Hummel for her staunch commitment to fostering the advancement of women,” said Pastore in a statement. “Throughout her career, including during her tenure at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, she has promoted the ideals of the WBDC by placing women of accomplishment in leadership positions.”
In the past year alone, WBDC clients have launched or expanded 395 new businesses and maintained or added close to 900 jobs in the state, resulting in $5 million in additional tax revenue to Connecticut’s economy.
The Women’s Business Development Council also has offices in Danbury, Hartford, Shelton and Waterbury. To purchase tickets to the WBDC breakfast contact Christopher Landino at (203) 925-0686 or visit ctwbdc.org.
