Monday, Dec. 31

New Year's Eve Party: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families with kids of all ages can celebrate New Year's in the children's library. There will be treats and games, kids can make crazy hats, and a giant balloon will drop. South Norwalk Branch Library, 10 Washington St.

New Year's Eve Service: 6 p.m. This service includes prayer, music and the Burning Bowl Ceremony, where participants write what they want to put behind them and place it in a fire. St. Paul's on the Green, 60 East Ave.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

Thursday, Jan. 3

Timeless Tales Storytime: 10 a.m. Kids ages 3 to 5 can listen to classic, contemporary and interactive stories with music, fingerplay, movement and more. South Norwalk Branch Library, 10 Washington St.

Stamford at Brien McMahon: 5:15 p.m. Stamford High School will be playing Brien McMahon in girls basketball. Brien McMahon High School, 300 Highland Ave.

Fairfield Warde at Norwalk: 7 p.m. Fairfield Warde will be playing Norwalk High School in boys basketball. Norwalk High School, 55 County St.
