Monday, Sept. 23

Network and learn about 'Big Data and Talent Management: 5:45 p.m. The American Society for Training and Development, Southern Connecticut chapter, will share best practices on using big data in talent management, featuring speakers from Connecticare and the Institute for Corporate Productivity. Mostly Mother Goose Story Time: 10 a.m. This ongoing weekly storytime is designed for 24 to 35 months old children. It consists of mostly Mother Goose rhymes with some classic and modern tales and songs included. Some props are used to help children visualize the rhymes. "Beyond Brushwork: Computer Art, Drawings, Mixed Media, Pastels, Prints" Exhibit: Noon to 5 p.m. Awards will be presented for artwork in “Beyond Brushwork,” an exhibit of high-quality computer art, drawings, mixed media, pastels and prints, during an opening reception. Norwalk Community Chorale Seeks Chorale Enthusiasts: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Join a  four-part 70-member chorus that performs concerts at Christmas and in the spring as well as at local community functions upon request. Slammer Tennis World Fall tennis lessons: 3 p.m. Learn basics of tennis as lessons cover the basic strokes (groundstrokes, volleys, overheads and serves) and incorporate some light exercises and footwork drills to build stamina and agility.
