Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company is making a short video about the history and anniversary of Curious George at the library, from 2-3 p.m.
As a special surprise, George will be there to meet and take pictures with the children.
All ages are welcome.
Footage of the Read Aloud will be used to tell the story of how generations of children have loved George since the first book was published in 1941.
The first 40 families to arrive will receive a Curious George board book to take home.
This program is free and open to the public but parents must sign a media consent form for their children to participate in the event.
