NORWALK, CONN. -- “The Santaland Diaries,” David Sedaris's satirical telling of his experiences as a Macy’s elf will be presented by Norwalk’s Music Theatre of Connecticut.
The hilariously irreverent story of the writer’s odd encounters during the height of the holiday crunch contains material that might be objectionable to some audiences. It is recommended for ages 16 and up.
The one-man show was adapted from a Sedaris essay that he read on National Public Radio in 1992.
It stars Monroe native Matt Densky, who is making his MTC debut.
Densky has appeared as Young Max in both the Madison Square Garden and National Touring productions of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!"
Performances are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting Dec. 11 and running through Dec. 20. The Friday shows start at 8 p.m.; the Saturday shows, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and the Sunday shows, 2 p.m.
The Music Theatre of Connecticut is located at 509 Westport Ave. (behind Nine West) in Norwalk, Conn.
Tickets range from $35 - $55 and are available by calling (203) 454-3883, or by visiting www.musictheatreofct.com.
