NORWALK, Conn. -- This Sunday starting at 10 a.m., the Rowayton Community Center will hold the third annual Walk to Benefit Vince Yackery and the North East Spinal Cord Injury Fund.

The Yackery family is raising funds to defer the cost of Vince's care.

On April 29, 2013, he fell down while exercising in his home, becoming a quadriplegic.

He remains hopeful that he will walk again and works on his rehab.

Family, friends, neighbors and supporters are invited to meet and greet Vince and join in a walk around scenic Rowayton.

He will show off his progress by taking the first steps of the walk.

Donations can be made online at www.helphopelive.org (search Vince Yackery).

The Rowayton Community Center is at 33 Highland Ave., Norwalk.
