NORWALK, Conn. -- The Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk will display its 20th anniversary retrospective from Sept. 12 through Dec. 13.
The opening reception for Retrospective: Highlights from the Past 20 Years takes place Sept. 12 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Works from artists exhibited in CCP's Grace Ross Shanley Gallery will be exhibited. Featured artists include Donald Sultan, Michael Mazur, Helen Frankenthaler, Gabor Peterdi, Robert Andrew Parker and Robert Cottingham and more.
“It is gratifying to be able to borrow key works for this event from the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation (New York), Mary Ryan Gallery (New York), Gabor Peterdi Studio (Norwalk), and other notable galleries, collectors, artists, and friends of the Center,” said Executive Director Laura G. Einstein of the Center for Contemporary Printmaking.
The International Fine Print Dealers Association rewarded the center a grant in support of this retrospective. The grant is in recognition of a deeper appreciation and understanding of fine prints fostered by the Center.
“We are honored to receive this highly competitive grant from an internationally renowned organization committed to the art of printmaking," said Einstein.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 299 West Ave. in Norwalk.
