Direct Energy Solar donated a new solar system to the city of Norwalk as part of the Norwalk Solar Challenge and they decided the best place for it is where people crave sunny skies as it will be installed on a bathhouse at Calf Pasture Beach. Crews from Direct Energy Solar recently completed the installation of the 4.77 kW system with 18 solar panels. The switch will be flipped to celebrate the operation of the new solar system.

State Sen. Bob Duff will join Mayor Harry Rilling,  along with the chairman of the Mayor’s Energy & Environment Task Force John Kydes and representatives from Direct Energy Solar will be on hand to flip the switch to dedicate the new solar system.

It will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

A solar array has been installed on the roof of the bathhouse at Calf Pasture Beach. The array is visible from the ground.
