NORWALK, Conn. -- With the Olympics games just around the corner, the Norwalk Public Library will hold an opening ceremony event on Saturday, June 18, complete with games and a parade.
The event, which runs from 1 to 3 p.m. at the main library, 1 Belden Ave., will kick-off with attendees making a paper torch to carry in the 1:30 p.m. parade around the library.
Following the parade, all can enjoy mini-Olympic games including shot-put, relay races, corn hole, and more.
If the weather is right, there may even be water balloons. No registration is necessary for the event, and all ages are welcome.
