NORWALK, Conn. -- Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum curator Kathleen Motes Bennewitz will lead a walking tour of "The Stairs Below: The Mansion's Domestic Servants, 1868-1938" on Oct. 21. 

Bennewitz will share the history of the mansion's servants during a walking tour that features costumed vignettes, historic artifacts and the recently restored servants' quarters. She will also detail some of the relationships between the servants and the Lockwood and Mathews families. 

The walking tour begins at 11 a.m. Admission is $30 (or $25 for members) and includes the walking tour and lunch courtesy of Michael Gilmartin's Outdoor Cookers Catering & Event Planning.
