NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Hospital will host a community blood drive on Oct. 6.
Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. They should wear comfortable clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up and drink plenty of fluids on the day of donation.
According to the American Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds. Up to three lives can be saved from a single donation.
The drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Patio Room on the fifth floor.
