NORWALK, Conn. – Sarah “Sally” Stark Oldham of Rowayton, of the law firm of Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin, LLC, was featured in the 2015 “Women Leaders in the Law” list recently published by Fortune Magazine.

Oldham was the only lawyer in Connecticut named to this list. Presented by Legal Leaders at American Lawyer Media, the 2015 “Women Leaders in the Law” list identifies a select group of top-rated lawyers in the country, as peer-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Oldham is a partner at Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin and represents clients in the negotiation and litigation of sophisticated, complex and high-asset family law matters. Her practice includes all areas of family law, including divorce, alimony, child support, property and asset division, child custody and post-judgment modifications and contempt.

In addition, Oldham has extensive experience resolving challenging and emotionally charged relocation disputes. Her seminal advocacy in the case of Ireland v. Ireland redefined the rights of parents and children in relocation disputes.

Oldham is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. District Court, in the District of Connecticut. She is a fellow in both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Fairfield County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association, where she serves on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section, a position she has held since 1993.

She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Connecticut in 1988. Before and during law school, Oldham practiced as a school psychologist for 11 years after obtaining three degrees in psychology. She received a B.A., cum laude, from Wesleyan University in 1972 and a M.S. and sixth-year degree from Southern Connecticut State College in 1974 and 1975, respectively.

Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin, LLC is a family law boutique with a team of six attorneys who practice family law, exclusively. Based in Westport, with an additional office in Greenwich, the firm provides legal services to clients in all areas of family law. For more information, visit
