During the training, part of the department’s ongoing efforts to better prepare for complex technical rescues, vehicles were placed in realistic positions that simulated motor vehicle accidents with patients trapped, according to fire officials.
Members of the department respond to motor vehicle accidents with injuries daily, with many occurring on Interstate 95 and the Merritt Parkway.
