Southbury Man Faces DWI, Other Charges After Newtown Crash

NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A 31-year-old Southbury man is facing DWI and other charges after police said he ran off early Saturday after crashing his car into another car near Riverside Road and Dickinson Drive in Newtown, according to the News Times.

Fernando Pereira is due back in court June 28 on charges of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, driving on the wrong side of the road and fleeing responsibility, the News Times reports.
