NEWTOWN, CONN. -- A Newtown teenager who police said tussled with officers during a drug arrest now faces charges of assaulting one of them, according to a report in The Danbury News-Times.
The mother of the unidentified 17-year-old had called the police because she was afraid that he was high on drugs, the News-Times reported.
When police and a crisis counselor arrived at the teen’s home, he swore at and spat on them and tried to muscle his way out of the house, the News-Times story said.
