Monroe Police Works To Combat Crime With National Night Out

MONROE, Conn. -- The Monroe Police Department will participate in the National Night Out with a crime and drug prevention event on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

Activities include police K9 demonstrations, food, a learn-to-fish demonstration for kids, a bounce house, a disc jockey, a roaming magician, a slip n' slide, character meetings, kids' pool painting and more. 

The Monroe Police Department will co-sponsor the event with the Association of Town Watch. More than 15,000 communities from throughout the U.S. participate in National Night Out.

The event will take place at Wolfe Park at 285 Cutlers Farm Road from 5 to 9 p.m.
