NEWTOWN, Conn. — Two men playing Pokemon Go at the C.H. Booth Library in Newtown caused a disturbance and were ultimately arrested on drug charges, police said.
Officers responded to an interior alarm at 8:55 p.m. June 6 at the library at 25 Main St., police said.
They found the two men playing Pokemon Go on the property, police said.
Theodore Rogers, 29, of Danbury was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics. He was released on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 20.
Michael Paradise, 31, of Redding, was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on three drug charges.
Paradise was held on $500 bond on the current charges and on $3,000 bond on the previous warrants. He is also set to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 20.
