Police in Suffolk County issued an alert on Thursday, Nov. 14, as Suffolk County Police Third Precinct Crime Section officers attempted to identify and locate a man who allegedly stole a Quaker parrot from B.T.J's Jungle on Sunrise Highway in West Islip on Monday, Nov. 11.

Initially, it was believed the parrot had been stolen, but further investigation by Suffolk County Police found that the entire incident was non-criminal in nature.
