ID Released For Woman Struck, Killed By SUV In Danbury

Police have identified a 71-year-old woman who was killed after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing a road in Danbury.

Dona Kramer, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was killed about 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, in the area of 59 Federal Road, said the Danbury Police.

When police arrived on the scene of the accident they found that a 2001 Chevy Silverado pickup truck had struck Kramer as she was attempting to cross the roadway from the west side to the east side, police said.

According to police Angel Cuenca, 50, of Danbury, saw Kramer begin to cross the roadway and attempted to stop but not before striking her.

Kramer was transported to Danbury Hospital for injuries sustained in the collision. Kramer later succumbed to her injuries at Danbury Hospital.

This collision is under investigation by the Danbury Police Department’s Traffic Division.
