NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Botsford firefighters beat back a blaze that broke out on Monday night in a Toddy Hill Road home in Newtown, according to News Times.
The fire started in the basement of the home around 10 p.m. and was spreading to the first floor when responders arrived, News Times reported.
A family dog that was trapped in the fire is recovering, News Times said.
