Bethel Police Department Welcomes New Officer

BETHEL, Conn. -- The Bethel Police Department welcomed Ryan Tharas to the unit after his recent graduation from the Concecticut Municipal Police Academy.

Tharas took more than six months of training at the Academy. He will now start a 16 week Field Training Program taught by senior officers.

Tharas is a graduate of New Fairfield HIgh School and studied Justice and Law Administration at Western Connecticut State University. His father is a Connecticut State Trooper.
