Bethel Police At Weekend Clinic To Offer Advice On Car Seat Installation

BETHEL, Conn. -- Bethel police have scheduled a car seat clinic for parents and caregivers who would like to make sure their car seats are properly installed.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, the clinic will be held by appointment only on Sunday, Jan. 8, at the Stony Hill Fire Department's firehouse on Stony Hill Road.

Citing the widely reported statistic that four out of every five car seats is incorrectly installed, the department said that three officers -- certified passenger safety technicians -- will be installing car seats and teaching interested parents and caregivers how to do the same.
