PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The owners of a lost dog are seeking the public’s assistance in finding him.

Pip was lost during a hike at the Blue Mountain Reservation.

The dog, whose name is Pip, is a 1-year-old, Papillon/Chihuahua mix with reddish fur.

He has been missing since Thursday.

Pip’s last known location was at the crossroads of Welcher Avenue and Washington Street.

He was lost during a hike at the Blue Mountain Reservation near the trail lodge.

The dog, who is microchipped, responds to his name, and is described as good-natured and energetic.
