Former Bethel Teacher Gets Prison Time In Child Sex Abuse Case

DANBURY, Conn. -- A former Bethel teacher who pleaded no contest in connection to the sexual abuse of three boys was sentenced to prison and probation Thursday, Jan. 21, in state Superior Court in Danbury and will have to register as a sex offender, according to the NewsTimes.com.

Brian Stroh, a 31-year-old New Fairfield resident and former teacher at Berry Elementary School in Bethel, was sentenced to 20 years behind bars, but suspended after 18 months because of a plea agreement, the newstimes.com said.

He was also sentenced to 25 years of probation, the story said.

The former first-grade teacher pleaded no contest in October to three counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count of promoting a minor in an obscene performance. The victims were 6, 9, and 11.
