Bethel Sets Date For Voting On New $13.5M Police Station

BETHEL, Conn. -- Bethel residents will get the chance to vote on the fate of a proposed new police station during a referendum Thursday at a special town meeting.

The property that is being looked at is located on town-owned property in front of Bethel High School at Judd Avenue and Route 302.

The size of the proposed new station is around 26,000 square feet.The project's original cost was about $15.1 million but has been reduced to about $13.5 million.

During the meeting, residents will be able to vote "yes" or "no." Polling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Voting will take place at the municipal center in the GP room.
