The municipal side proposal is about $27.6 million, inclusive of debt service of approximately $3.9 million, said the WLAD-AM report.
The account to maintain the schools account is $489,000, included in the municipal budget, according to WLAD-AM.
Bethel First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker told WLAD-AM that approximately $43.6 million is the Board of Education budget proposal, the WLAD-AM report said.
Capital projects of about $1.4 million would cover the following, according to WLAD-AM:
- Codfish Road culvert
- Maple Avenue drainage improvements
- Lighting for repairs on Whittlesey Drive and Greenwood Avenue,
- High school auditorium seating
- Highway garage roof
- Carbon monoxide system
