Christopher, 7, has arteriovenous malformation in his brain. An Oct. 19 surgery at Danbury Hospital to repair the arteriovenous malformation was unsuccessful. Then on Oct. 20, the family says he underwent an embolization procedure that went as planned to block off the vessel. On Oct. 26 the doctors attempted to remove the breathing tube and though Christopher is partially breathing on his own, it wasn't enough to leave the tube out.

Over the next few days doctors will do a few brain scans to monitor brain activity & plan for the next steps.

A GoFundMe page to help pay Christopher's hospital bills has been set up by the family. To make a donation, visit https://www.gofundme.com/vd67w9us

As of Monday morning $9,216 has been raised.
