NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Edible Nutmeg magazine, which highlights food and drinks across Connecticut, has launched a new video series dubbed "Edible Nutmeg on the Road."

It stars Newtown native and Food Network veteran Chef Plum.

These short, inspiring videos will celebrate local farmers and producers incorporating quick and easy recipes, interviews, facts, and humor. A new episode will be released each month, focusing on the bounties of the season. Exclusive Edible Nutmeg recipes will be posted up on the website and printed in the quarterly magazine.

Edible Nutmeg is a guide to regional food, farming, sustainability, and local food culture in Fairfield, Litchfield, and New Haven counties.

Host Chef Plum was born in Richmond, Va., but now lives in Newtown. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America with over 18 years of culinary experience, he has been featured on Food Network, ABC's "The Taste" and Jamie Oliver’s "Foodtube," and is a true advocate and supporter of local food.

The video series kicks off with the guys at Black Hog Brewery in Oxford. Click here to visit the website.
