Newtown Library's Downton Abbey Tea To Mark British Series' Final Season

NEWTOWN, CONN. -- The Cyrenius H. Booth Library will celebrate the return -- and the final season -- of the hit British drama series Downton Abbey with a tea and talk by textiles expert Susan J. Jerome.

The annual event is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10 in the library’s reading room.

The library is located at 25 Main St., Newtown.

Jerome’s talk, "Downton Abbey: Fashion and Social Change," will cover notable changes in clothing during the post-Edwardian period, including the influential innovations and designers of the time.

Participants are invited to dress up.
