The rainfall from a strong storm system that swept through the area has moved east, but damaging winds remain.

Winds out of the west at 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour during the day on Friday, Nov. 1 could cause more power outages.

Tens of thousands in the region already got power knocked out during Halloween evening and the overnight. There have also been numerous road closures due to downed trees, resulting in some school closures and delayed starts as well as transportation delays.

A Wind Advisory is in effect until noon on Friday as the powerful cold front makes it final push through, leading to a drop in temperatures.

Wind speeds will decrease during the afternoon before dropping to between 6 to 10 mph Friday night and through the overnight.

Friday's high temperature will be in the mid 50s under sunny skies.

Saturday, Nov. 2 will be sunny and continued cool with a high temperature in the mid 50s.

Look for another pleasant, dry day on Sunday, Nov. 3 after we "fall back" overnight for Daylight Saving Time . Sunday will be sunny with a high temperature again in the mid 50s.

The sunny stretch continues with the high temperature again around 55 degrees on Monday, Nov. 4.
