The incident occurred in the town of Fairfield around 12:40 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22. According to Fairfield Police Sgt. The Westport Police Department has opened an investigation following a residential burglary that occurred in the afternoon on Wednesday, Aug. 7. This includes residents in the streets and areas surrounding Bayberry Lane near Easton Road, Meeker Road, etc., police say. Police say the suspect(s) may have approached other residences prior to committing the crime. Police: Westport Man Found Asleep In Car Early In Afternoon Under Influence A man was busted allegedly drinking and driving by officers after being found asleep behind the wheel in the middle of the afternoon, according to police in Westport. Officers from the Westport Police Department were dispatched at approximately 1:15 p.m. on March 27, where there was a report of a man asleep at the wheel with his car idling outside an Easton Road home.
