NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Lindsey Schmid had the biggest day of her college softball career Sunday for Babson College.
Schmid tripled, ripped three hits and scored two runs for Babson in a 2-1 win over MIT. In the second game, Schmid had a hit and two RBIs in a 4-2 setback.
Schmid is hitting .404, second on the team, and has cracked the starting lineup. She has started 18 games for Babson (20-9), which saw its nine-game win streak snapped in the loss on Sunday.
