NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Starting Saturday, over 200 New Canaan Flag Football players in grades 2 to 8 will be showing support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink items.

These items have been generously donated by the National Football League.

For the entire month of October, the players are taking part in the campaign, "A Crucial Catch." They have teamed up with the American Cancer Society and the NFL, and are focused on the importance of regular breast cancer screenings.

Players can also purchase shoelaces and socks in pink, from New Balance Of New Canaan, where the proceeds go to The Susan G Komen Foundation.
