St. Luke’s is one of four schools from the state still in the tournament and will face off against Green Farms Academy in its next match-up. The show will air April 26 at 6:30 p.m.
“The action is really heating up as we progress to the final rounds of the Regional Championships,” Jared Cotter, host of "The Challenge," said in the statement. “You can see the intensity of the player’s faces and excitement of the fans building as we move on in the competition.”
Captain Patrick Quinn, Alex Robertson, Casey Zhu, Mac Zech and alternate Sebastian Bates make up the team from the New Canaan school. The team is advised by Kate Parker-Burgard and Elaine Greene.
The show pits 192 schools from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut in a bracket-style trivia tournament. Each regional champion earns $2,500 for its school, and go on to the Challenge Championship, with the champion winning $10,000 for its school and $500 for each student in the final match up.
