To get on the roll, school districts have to show that they’ve not only increased access to AP course work, but have maintained or increased the number of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP exams.
The board examined data from the districts from 2013 to 2015.
“For the past few years we have worked to provide expanded opportunities to our students for advanced course work in a variety of subjects,” Luizzi said.
Getting on the roll, he said, means more students are taking advantage “of these increased options throughout their high school experience.”
According to the College Board, more than 3,800 colleges and universities around the world received AP scores for college credit, advanced placement, and consideration in the admission process last year.
Many colleges and universities in the United States are offering credit in one or more subjects for qualifying AP scores, the board said.
