Devereaux Announces Bid For New Canaan First Selectman Seat

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Democrat Kit Devereaux is running for first selectman of New Canaan in this year's election, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

Devereaux has served in a number of positions in town government over the past several years, including Town Council, Board of Finance, and currently the Parks and Recreation Commission. She is also president of the New Canaan League of Women Voters.

Incumbent First Selectman Rob Mallozzi III has served three terms, and is expected to make an announcement this week on whether he will seek a fourth, the New Canaan Advertiser reported.
