The case began at about 9:30 a.m. May 22, when New Canaan Police were dispatched to the CVS at 94 Park St. on a report of a larceny.
A suspect took five package of Benzedrex, a nasal inhaler, and quickly exited the store, police said. He left in a vehicle, and CVS employees were able to obtain the license plate number, police said.
Based on video surveillance from the store and the witness statements, the suspect was identified, police said.
Ryan Burke, 29, of 13 Brookwood Lane, turned himself in to New Canaan police at 11a.m. Friday, June 2.
He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear in court on June 12.
