Wanted Norwalk Man Apprehended In New Canaan

A New Canaan traffic stop led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man from Norwalk, police say.

New Canaan Police observed a vehicle traveling on New Norwalk Road on Monday, March 25 around 11:30 p.m. The vehicle allegedly did not have working marker lights.

The officer initiated a motor vehicle stop and identified the driver as Paul LeDuc of Norwalk.

Further investigation revealed that LeDuc was allegedly operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Police also discovered an active PRAWN warrant for his arrest with charges for failure to appear.

LeDuc was arrested and charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He also faces charges for vehicle violations and second-degree failure to appear, as per the PRAWN warrant.

LeDuc was released after posting $500 bond. He is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday, April 2.
