Two Dead In Apparent New Fairfield Murder-Suicide

Two people are dead as a result of a murder-suicide in New Fairfield, according to the Connecticut State Police.

The incident took place on Cornell Road on Monday, April 15, state police confirmed.

Although police would not reveal the names of the two, News 12 identified them as husband and wife Michael and Jennifer Ciorra.

Michael Ciorra was stabbed and his wife Jennifer Ciorra died from carbon monoxide, according to News 12. 

A check of voting records revealed that Jennifer Ciorra was 47 and Michael Ciorra was 51.  Property records show the couple lived at 15 Cornell Road.

A LinkedIn profile for Michael Ciorra said he was employed at Global Foundries and was a graduate of Fordham School of Business. The profile said he had worked at the company’s East Fishkill, location.

Neighbors told News 12 that the couple leaves behind two sons.

The incident still under investigation.
