Brooklyn Mahogany Marcano, 18, of Southington, has been charged with interfering with an officer, according to the CT Post. Marcano turned herself in to police on Thursday or Friday, Sept. 24-25.
The charge against Marcano stems from a July 19 incident on I-84. Sgt. Timothy Begley had pulled over a motor vehicle allegedly being driven by Jayquan Syale Richardson. Marcano was the only passenger in the vehicle.
Suspecting Syale Richardson may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, Begley tried to get his keys, but Syale Richardson allegedly fled in his car.
Begley was hit, but not seriously injured, police said.
Syale Richardson was previously arrested and charged in connection to the incident.
