A 16-year-old teen has been charged with breach of peace after allegedly making a threat against students at New Canaan High School.
The incident took place around 12:45 p.m., Monday, Jan. 13, when the school's resource officer received a complaint regarding the teen, said New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro.
According to Ferraro, the teen allegedly made a threat that was directed at other students of the school and "implied harm would come to other students at NCHS," Ferraro said.
An investigation into the threat was conducted by the resource officer and a youth sergeant who deemed the threat non-credible, he added.
Police declined to provide details regarding the nature of the threat.
The 16-year-old, from New Canaan, was issued a juvenile summons for breach of peace.
