A Stamford driver who failed to maintain a proper lane on I-95 was charged with drunk driving, according to Greenwich Police.

Police reportedly observed an erratic driver fail to maintain proper lane position going south on I-95, just before Exit 2, according to Greenwich Police.

Officers initiated a traffic stop and the driver reportedly backed into the front of the police cruiser, police said.

The driver Victor Hugo Flores Brito, 35, of Stamford, was given field sobriety tests which he reportedly did not perform to standards, according to police.

Flores Brito was arrested and charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol,
  • Failure to drive in the proper lane,
  • Unsafe backing.

A $250 bond was issued along with a Stamford court date of Friday, Aug. 2.
